On 26th December of 2008, hubby brought us on a quick trip to Hiroshima. We departed around midnite by our ever trusted odessey with Amrallah and wife, Sazly joined us for the tour.
After 8 hours of sitting and cramping inside the rolling cubical, we arrived at Iwakuni jinja, in Yamaguchi prefecture. Here we enjoy the very cold breeze at one of the oldest wooden bridge still intact here in japan. Kintai bridge is the name and it was built and completed at 1672. According to the pamphlet we received at the ticket counter (to across using the bridge we have to pay 300 yen tho!) the bridge collapse 2 or 3 times because of world war and natural disaster. We can still see the snow covering the bridge (perhaps falls the nite before). Ai was so excited (after the long journey and she could not sit still during our sightseeing aroud the bridge.

After some times and while Ai still crying due to tak puas ati main lagik, we departed for miyajima guchi. Here is the main gate (port) for us to take a ride on a short ferry trip to Miyajima. Miyajima is a small island on the southwest part of Hiroshima. Here lies the Itsukushima Shrine (厳島神道) which has been honoured with the World Cultural Heritage spot. The shrine itself was built very near to the sea, we just arrived during the flood tide, so the shrine sumwhat like above the sea. There are many wild deer around the island which will greet u (especially when ppl eating while walking around). We enjoyed walking by foot around the island until around 2pm before boarding a ferry again for the main island of Honsyu and depart for Hiroshima city.

We arrived at out hotel for spending the nite very near to the Hiroshima Peace MEmorial Park. Its quiet cheap considering the place of the hotel is very near to Hiroshima city (~1 km from the station). Thanks to hubby we enjoy a complimentary breakfast also at cheap nite stay around 7000++ yen for two person. After a rest and fulfill our duty to Allah, we depart by foot to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, located about 5 minutes away (its very near around 100m from the our hotel). We managed to enter the museum of the memorial park and could see the damages and the history before and after the first atomic bomd being drop very near here. Then we walk around the park and could see the cenotaph for the victims and especially the dome which still stand there.
Then we return to hotel. thinking about where we could find a nie place for dinner. Thanks to Awin and Fendi (hubby'S friend here in HIroshima) we managed to go to a place located about 30km at Saijyou and have our dinner there. It was a halal buffet kinda place, (inside JICA) which provide buffet dinner at a very reasonable price of 700 yen per head.

After the nite rest at the hotel, we departed back to Hamamatsu, while stop by along the way at Okayama and Kobe. First we take a breather at Kurashiki. Kurashiki have this popular spot of BIkan Area, a place which the old yet marveous buildings is still being preserved until today. We enjoy about 2 hours walk around the place snapping pictures and buy omiyage.

Then we departed for Kobe, stopping by at the first mosque ever built in japan still intact even after the rapid bombing during the world war 2 (we could even see the pictures located inside the mosque during the war. We prayed maghrib and isyak before starting our way back to hamamatsu. We arrived at Hamamatsu just after midnite and thanks to all (especially hubby laaa die yg plan gile2 bende nih) for a very enjoying yet hectic trip to Sanyo area and Kansai area.
